Dear Family and Friends,

We are writing again to ask for your support of The HAND (Heal Autism Now Delaware) Foundation. Last year HAND raised over $30,000 at its annual fundraiser which was used to immediately impact the lives of Delaware children affected by autism and their families. We appreciate your past support for this great effort!

We have been associated with The HAND Foundation now for two years. HAND have been instrumental in helping us to provide teachers for our son, Paul’s, Son-Rise program. He continues to enjoy his teachers and recently told us that he likes to meet new people. That was welcome news!

The HAND Foundation also promotes a greater understanding of autism by underwriting the cost of conferences for members. This winter, the foundation organized a one-day workshop on alternative therapies for children and adults with autism.

In Delaware and in the rest of our country, autism continues to increase at an alarming rate. Autism has entered the 21st Century as the fastest growing disability in America. Now one in 155 children face the challenges of autism, up from one in 10,000 children just decades ago. These children need our help if they are to become contributing members of our society.

You can help by supporting The HAND Foundation. The enclosed packet of raffle tickets are yours to purchase for the grand prize that will be awarded at the Rack ‘em Up Fundraiser at Bank Shots in Wilmington on March 5, from 8 p.m. 12 a.m. You do not have to be present to win, but you do have to buy a raffle ticket to even have a shot at the $2000 grand prize. We hope you can help.

Thank you.

Jane and Mark Miller
